Article Title

The title of the article as it will be displayed to users.

The folder that the articles will be assigned to.  The article will appear under the assigned folder in he knowledge base user interface.  The permissions on the article will be inherited from the folder that it is assigned to.

The folder that the article should appear in.  The permissions on the article will be inherited from the folder.

Article Type

Articles can be of multiple types: Current supported types are: Error Message, How To, Information, Problem and None.  these types may impact how the articles is displayed in the knowledge base.

The actual article text that will be displayed to the user..

Published Checkbox

The published checkbox determines in the article is visible (when checked) to users or if it is unpublished (when unchecked.)

Slug or URL

This field allow the editor to define the portion of the url that will be used to point specifically to the article being edited. The knowledge base path for the help desk is as follows:

in the example: https://{sub-domain}.tikit.info/knowledge-base/{slug}
The {sub-domain} would be replaced with the sub-domain that was assigned to your instance of tiHelpdesk at the time of sign up.
 
Additionally {slug} would be replaced with the text from this field.  Spaces are not allowed. the ("-") dash character should be used instead of spaces.
