Help Desk - Edit Templates

 
The templates for all notifications can be edited  Each notification has an independent template for each transport method.  templates can include static text and variables.  Separate templates are maintained for Administrator Notifications, Staff Notifications and for Notifications sent to Consumer users.

Current Template Name

1. Current Template Name
The template name can be modified for the current event.  Changing the template name does not alter the events trigger.  The event name is passed as the subject line for transports that allow a subject or header to be sent with the notification.

Transport

2. Transport
Selected transport method.  Notifications can be sent via email message, within tiHelpdesk on the notification panel, and using browser push (to your internet browser when browser permissions are enabled.)

Admin Template

Select the Staff template to edit the notification sent to Staff Members and Agents for the the selected event and transport when the event is triggered in tiHelpdesk.

Content for selected Role

The notification template content that will be used to generate the notification for the selected role and message transport

Staff template

Select the Staff template to edit the notification sent to Staff Members and Agents for the the selected event and transport when the event is triggered in the tiHelpdesk instance.

Consumer Template

Select the Consumer template to edit the notification sent to consumer users for for the the selected event and transport when the event is triggered in the tiHelpdesk instance

Save and Exit

Click the save and exit button to save the current edits and return to tiHelpdesk's notification administrator  settings.

Click the save button to save the current edits and stay on the edit screen.

Cancel

Click the cancel button to abort saving changes and preserve current settings.

Insert Variable

Insert a variable int the message template at the current cursor location. Displays a list of available variables that can be inserted. Not all variables may nave context in any one specific notification.  For example, meeting name not have a value in the case where the notification event is for a Task being created.

Static Text

An example of static text embedded in tiHelpdesk's notification message text. Static text will be sent as it appears in the notification body.

Variable

An example of a variable embedded in tiHelpdesk's notification message text. Variables will be replaced with the context sensitive value at the time the notification is triggered in tiHelpdesk.
