The kanban view presents tasks on a kanban board with columns and swim lanes. Staff members can select the desired column and swim lane fields used to display and sort data. Tasks and issues can be moved between columns and swim lanes using drag and drop. Columns can be collapsed and hidden. Swim lanes can be collapsed and hidden. Due to size constraints, the help desk kanban view is only available from the desktop dashboard view is is not available on mobile devices.
Column and Swim Lane Settings
Select the columns and swim lanes that will be displayed in the tiHelpdesk instance's Kanban View.
Tasks are displayed on "cards" in the Kanban. Tasks can be dragged and dropped between swim lanes and columns. When a task card is dropped into a new swim lane or column the underlying task data is automatically updated.
A kanban column is displayed for each value of the column selection. The column will contain all help desk tasks for each swim lane that have the underlying column's value. Cards can be dragged and dropped between columns. Dragging and dropping a card in a different column will modify the underlying task data for the selected column.
The filter control allows the user to filter the tasks displayed in tiHelpdesk and Help Desk's Kanban view. For more information on filtering please see the Help Desk - Filter and Search Panel help topic.
A kanban swim lane is displayed for each value of the column selection. The column will contain all help desk tasks for the current swim lane that contained the displayed field's value. Cards can be dragged and dropped between swim lanes. Dragging and dropping a card in a different swim lane will modify the underlying task data to the value for the swim.lane.

Add a new Task, Consumer User / Customer, Company, Product / Group or Agent / Staff members to tiHelpdesk by selecting the appropriate option from the New menu.
